The "Home Place" is a property that's been in my family since 1916--over 100 years! My great-grandmother bought the property when moving to the area after her husband passed away.
My dad was raised on this property. When my grandparents died, dad was able to purchase the land from his siblings. My parents built the current home in 1979 and dad once again returned to his "home place". My husband and I are now fortunate to own the property. Remodeling it as a place for others to enjoy has been a great experience for us.
I remember my dad always referring to this property as "the home place". So there was no question in our minds about the name we would give to this family property!
